What a beautiful sound! The sound of gratitude and thanksgiving . . . Easter. I believe that we (you and I) celebrated the resurrection of Jesus well! In all five services, I listened to your voices raised, giving thanks and celebration to God, and I thought, “What a beautiful sound.” It was the sound of 2,000 lives coming together over five services and two days to honor the greatest event in human history as we declared, “But in fact, Christ is raised from the dead!” Now we find ourselves on the other side of Easter, and the resurrection is still the reason our lives can be different and bear the marks of God. Today live in the power of the resurrection! Let’s not leave our gratitude and thanksgiving to a holiday.
This coming weekend in all four services Jerry Manuel will be with us. I will be interviewing him about his 40 years in Major League baseball, his vibrant faith, and his family. This will be an amazing opportunity to bring a friend who normally would not attend church. They will hear about “why” being a follower of Jesus is so important to Jerry and for them as well. We created this event as an opportunity for those far from God to become fully devoted followers of Christ. Who are those God has put in your life so you can point them to Jesus? We are praying for you as you are making those invitations to this rare event.
Life Group sign-ups are starting this weekend as well, so you have the opportunity to find a group to get plugged into for the next quarter.
We love you and can hardly wait to see you this coming weekend as we gather to celebrate the goodness of God, catch up with friends and experience God together.

P.S. Two lucky people in each service will receive signed memorabilia from Jerry Manuel. He will be available for pictures and signing after services.
We can be praying for:
- Pray that God will work in the hearts of those who came Easter weekend who didn’t make a decision for Him yet.
- Pray for those who made either first-time commitments or recommitments to Christ on Easter weekend, that they would draw closer to God and grow in their relationship with Him.
Also…Tune in to KFIA 710AM every Monday at 4:30 pm for “The View From Here.” One of our past messages will be aired.
